Photographs from Bolivia

While in Bolivia last year I was able to sneak in a little bit of time to capture some images for myself. This wasn’t the primary reason for my being in Bolivia so I didn’t have much time, but I also just couldn’t help myself.

I was taken with Bolivia overall, including the stunning and strangely beautiful La Paz, but certainly the locations we shot were beyond inspiring. We faced a few challenges while in Bolivia, not least of which was the altitude. I’m confident we didn’t dip below 10,000ft above sea level the entire trip. In fact, at the border crossing in Chile moving into Bolivia we were at an oxygen-depleting 15,000ft above sea level.

One of the locals described the landscape as being alive with energy. He meant this literally, since the landscape is shaped by volcanic activity and is rich in elements like lithium. Truly it was an amazing place, one I intend to visit again soon.
