Reuben Wu composes an image in Death Valley

Today I am releasing a special NFT as a tribute to my friend and mentor, Reuben Wu. I often work with Reuben as a digital tech, and am able to capture behind the scenes images of Reuben at work.

On one trip to Death Valley in 2021 I grabbed this image of Reuben composing a scene. The nature of his pose peering into the waist level finder, the landscape, and transition from light to shadow immediately brought to my mind the thought that this image was a distillation of photography.

To my eye, this image is timeless, or at least as timeless as the presence of a tripod and camera allow.
