Reflection
It’s good to reflect.
In 2021 Tiff and I had some breakthroughs, made some big decisions, and were tested mightily. We had a challenging year, but a good one despite its sometimes apocalyptic tone.
A large part of what made 2021 interesting was the NFT boom and crypto in general. It’s amazing what has happened to the art market in just a year. I’m pleased to have sold four NFTs, including two horizon rolls and two images from the 1st Dark Matter series. I’ve just minted and listed the remaining 6 images from the Dark Matter II continuation on Foundation here.
I am incredibly thankful to my collectors, many of whom became so last year. I look forward to communicating more and taking on a more visible persona. Speaking when not directly spoken to is something I’m still somehow getting used to, but I’m working on it :-)
I will be beginning a new project soon to coincide with our return to our home town in the deep south. We’re currently in a transition back to a place where, last we stayed for a very long period of time, we were different people with different ideas, beliefs, and priorities. Homecoming isn’t something I thought I’d ever reckon with, but I am, and I intend to use this project to process this transition.
In looking back on the work I made in 2021, I believe it is some of my best to date. My vision developed, and I gained clarity in certain areas that desperately needed clarifying. I’ve chosen ten of my favorite images below.
More soon.
